Wyndham Grand Algarve

We had the most incredible stay at the Wyndham Algarve. The staff are incredible always so friendly and warm. Joana and Ella went out of their way to make us feel welcome, remembering things we had told them the day before. The breakfast was impressive to say the least, the man making the omelettes made everyone smile! All the food/restaurants on site (including the room service) are amazing and always trusted you would get great food. XXL was a luxury to have on site, the dinner was top notch. And not to forget the incredible spa on site, the treatment and facilities are a calming oasis. We couldn't recommend staying at the Wyndham higher and are already trying to figure when we can come back!

We haven’t long returned From a weeks stay and the hotel is fantastic from arrival to departure. We had a 15 month old baby with us and they put us on the ground floor at the bottom of the corridor therefore reducing any corridor noise ensuring a good nights sleep. The only thing is that as it was early in the season the pool was freezing cold so unable to put the baby in to it and we were not permitted to use the indoor pool with the baby which was a real downer for us as we looked forward to pool time with our child. For that reason I’m not sure I would return.

Me and my wife stayed at the hotel for 1 week leaving on the 3rd of July. The hotel is beautiful and very modern and staff were great. The massive down side was our air conditioning didn’t work in our room. We reported this 3 times to reception and we were fobbed off with a number of different excuses which included - it wasn’t working due to the heat wave, maintenance had looked at it and nothing wrong with it and maybe we should just close our curtains all day to keep the heat out!! It was unbearably hot during the night and we didn’t get much sleep at all which ruined our holiday. We heard other people complaining about the same issue therefore I think it’s an ongoing problem. The reception did say they had a number of fans however all had been given out to other guests For this reason I wouldn’t waste my money as it’s very expensive to stay here and you expect a 5* hotel to have working air conditioning . Our friends we’re staying at different hotels nearby and no one else had any issues as we did so they cannot blame the heat wave. Very disappointed and we would not return!!
