Latest undate: I was going to check out today and move in to another hotel. The front desk manager, Ms. Yao found out my concerns and problems. She listens and tries to resolve the issues. She makes me feel respected and wants to help me. She runs up and down with me to change room. She sends a crew to check my previous room. Nonetheless, I'm in a much cooler room now, literally cooler. Pt. 1 I've booked 4 nights from home, and later, when we got to China, a week before the check-in date, I realized I needed an extra night, so I booked it online. However, I didn't get any confirmation email, and money was not taken from my cc. I tried to call the place to ask them if they have my extra night booked. I've tried for three days, but I couldn't get through. I called back to the States and asked the customer service about my booking, they couldn't find it. They called the hotel twice but couldn't get through either. At the end, customer service finally found it. Pt. 2 Got to the hotel, told they what happened. All they said was, they didn't have any miss-calls. She told me she has upgraded me to the "executive floor," and they will try to find the issue with the phone. When I got to the room, I saw a piece of paper with a list of "privileges" that came with the room. I went to the lobby bar, the host told me I needed a voucher. I went back to the front desk, she told me my room was a free upgrade. Therefore, I do not have the privilege to enjoy the privileges. She did not tell me about it before. What she did was like upgrading me to a business class flight, but I have to use the lavatory at the economy class. Pt. 3 The hotel room ac doesn't work. It is fixed on 25'C or 77'F. The room is so hot and you can not change it. They brought up a portable ac for me later. Pt. 4 I found small bugs around the bathtub. I was confused about how they got here. I cleaned it up. The next day, I saw 2 more dead bugs. This time was at the toilet.
So I booked the hotel and tried to call many times to confirm the reservation but no one ever answered. I did not get an email confirmation nor a charge on my credit card even though I chose prepay. Anyway, got ot hotel to check in and complained that their phone number does not work. So they "upgraded" my room to a suite. The suite was nice but the AC does not work! The room is hot at 25C-26C! Told them about it and they said there's nothing they can do! Also, with the suite, it should come with complementary breakfast and other privileges however, when we tried to use these privileges, we were told we cannot because the room was an upgrade and not paid for! So upgrading is to a room that has broken AC and then not fixing the issue and now telling us these so call privileges are not applicable is not worthy of a five star rating! Do not book this hotel as their service is really subpar and disappointing. I guve them and extra star for service because they tried to rectify some of the issues.
