Wyndham Istanbul Old City

Good stay: I've seen a few bad reviews for this hotel mostly rooms with no windows. However, I can only speak for my own experience. We booked a family room which had a nice toilet, was spacious, and had a nice design with a big window. If you are booking this hotel I would recommend you get a room with a window to avoid disappointment. No hotel is perfect, and this hotel had its imperfections such as thin walls (so if you are a very light sleeper this isn't for you), and the building is quite old. However, the location is very good and not too far from most landmarks or places for tourists to visit. The pricing of the hotel was also quite good for what you get (such as the pool) and again the location is ideal with a tram and metro a few minutes away. The facilities such as the swimming pool and sauna were nice but the gym and steam room was a bit run down. Breakfast was nice and they changed some menue items regularly. My service at the hotel was very good the staff were kind and helpful when I needed something like an extra duvet or towel. From my experience room service was good and they cleaned everything nicely. If I had anything big to throw away like take away boxes I put them in front of my door and they threw it away for me. Overall, I think for the price and location this hotel is very good, especially if you book a room with a window or upgrade the room.

The hotel reception looks nice , the staff at the time of check in was very helpful polite and welcoming. We were placed to room 6114, which was based in a basement where you go to have your breakfast , the room itself is okay , conditions is 10/10 , beddings clean and comfy beds. However the room could do a renovation 100%, the lock barely locked , some things were broken. I’m not sure if it was this time only but every night at 1/2am in the morning there were some really loud laughs , talks , screams , not sure if it was some other guests or staff. Otherwise it was okay stay.

Not the best! When we arrived we were told to pay by cash. I informed the hotel that I had booked by card online but kept requesting cash payment which I thought was odd. I requested interconnecting rooms which didn't happen sadly 😕 The rooms were not hoovered daily and we had a problem with the bathroom. The door opened on to the sink which left us with very little space. It wasn't very clean. Service was ok I guess. The hotel is in a good location and close to the tram station and cash points.
