The hotel is currently doing a large renovation and the reason I only gave it 4 stars. Service was excellent. The employees are top notch. The resort has been here for years, but just recently added to the Marriott portfolio which is why I finally stayed here.
Great place to relax on weekends. I stayed in Asuncion for 2 months in 2023. And I came here every weekend to relax. It’s by the border. Standing on a river bank. Not crowded. Quiet and relaxing on the top floor.
I recently stayed at the Yacht y Golf Club Hotel in Paraguay, located by the river. Unfortunately, my experience was quite mediocre. While the riverside location is nice, the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. The rooms were not particularly clean, and the furnishings felt outdated. The service was also disappointing – the staff was often unfriendly and unhelpful. The food at the hotel restaurant was mediocre at best. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
