It's a very nice ryokan that is like a small village. The staff is continuously preparing little surprises outside the main house, and the service was impeccable and polite, even for us travelers with very limited Japanese knowledge. The food was great and plentiful. The onsens are divided into a gender-separated public section, three private onsens and if you booked, one small one at your room. There is even a sauna. Very relaxing and with beautiful surroundings. The hike down to the coast is totally worth it as well. I'd definitely come again. ありがとうございました!
It has been an incredible experience! Unfortunately, the day before arriving at this villa, I went through a rather unfortunate experience that left me deeply stressed. Therefore, my expectations upon arrival were high: I desperately needed to rest and disconnect. …. I am very HAPPY to say with complete certainty that it exceeded all my expectations! The villa is beautiful, and it’s evident that the staff take great care of it with respect and affection. The overall service from the staff was excellent, even in my case, where due to dietary restrictions, my meals had to be prepared in a special way. The entire natural atmosphere is stunning, the public onsen is amazing, and having the opportunity to relax with your partner in the three private onsens, free of charge, is something that should be valued and protected at all costs. The breakfast was delicious, and although the villa is a bit far from the station to walk, they offer free transportation every half hour. (The bus driver was also beyond kind!) I have only good things to say and left there feeling renewed and very, very happy. I hope I can come back soon! :-) Thank you very much!
Just checked out today, and actually it was not a good experience in this hotel. Room facilities are too old even the Japanese traditional hotel is, generally speaking , old. The dust can be found on the window of rest room door. The most disappointing this is the dinner, the mosquito was found in the soup of Japanese style hot pot, really disgusting. The waitress was aware of it after we showed the body of the mosquito , they just changed it with slight sorry. Nobody in the hotel staffs showed any apologies and any explanations till checking out, Feel bad. To sum up, location is good , room is fair and the food is bad enough. Comparing to the below average level private onsen surrounding by mosquitoes , public on is the good choice. And Service doesn’t match the price at all.
