Ylläksen Yöpuu

Beautiful place with lovely owners! We visited here December 2017. Unfortunately we drove here and it took longer than we thought due to a blizzard, so we arrived very late and didn't get to enjoy the place as much as we wanted since we only stayed 1 night. The owners were so nice and accomodating. They told us about local stores and restaurants. They also let us check out a couple of hours late the next day and allowed our son to use the sleds on the snow hill behind the cabins. I truly regret not being able to spend longer than 1 night here! The sauna and fireplace were fantastic. The cabin was perfect, cozy and very clean. It is a snowy magical wonderland, I felt like we were in a dream. It is located very close to restaurants and a really neat grocery store with a giant Reindeer statue out front. There is also a lake which would be nice for summer. We went to an animal park close to here and did a Husky sled ride and saw all of the cute animals there. They also have a sledding hill and we met lots of nice people from all over the world. Someday I hope to come back here!

Great cabin. Great location. Great hosts. My family stayed in Cabin No 2 in the second week of December (2019). Absolutely beautiful! The in-cabin Sauna was a must - we did everything including cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, husky sledging and snow walking up the local 'Everest'. The cabin was warm, cosy and had a real fire. Hint: take your own drinks! It's soooo expensive to enjoy a 'apres-ski' in Finland. Our hosts were fantastic; friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely going back to these cabins.

A fantastic set of well equipped cabins, managed by a wonderful couple who really take care of their guests. We stayed here with a group for a friends wedding and we had a fantastic time. Conveniently located next to a supermarket with everything you need along with rental companies nearby for excursions. I would definitely recommend!
