It's nice, but not too fancy. Which is just perfect for me. It's a very interesting establishment with a unique history. They have a nice indoor pool and hot tub. The staff was very friendly and hospitable to us. We enjoyed our stay.

We lunched at this lovely restaurant at the end of Fergus County Fair week and the exhausted staff greeted us with a smile and allowed us to dine 10 minutes before closing. The service was fabulous, the food was delicious, and the courtyard adjacent to our table was lined with beautifully arranged live flowers. It was the perfect end to a week-long visit with dear friends. We'll be going back. Very soon.

This is an old hotel, our room was poolside, and we discovered the door to the pool wasn’t even locked. The room was clean, with the exception of the inside of the bath tub. It was discolored from what appeared to be grunge all over the inside of it so I couldn’t take a bath. The faucet fixtures were incredibly clean and shiny which is a plus though. The biggest problem was the air conditioning smells like mold and the hallway smelled the same. It’s an old building and I suspect the indoor pool may be the cause of the odor. There weren’t any pictures on the walls of the room which wasn’t a big deal to me but it seemed odd. I have to say that in spite of all this, I slept great but the smell was difficult for my husband so he didn’t sleep well. Also, this hotel was WAY overpriced, they held the outside back door open with a raggedy, dirty luggage cart (definitely didn’t have a safe feeling), and they didn’t provide any breakfast. Also, they weren’t very friendly when my husband checked in. We had to stay in this hotel because every other place in town was full, and it was too late to drive to our destination, so we think they raised their prices because of this. I honestly cannot give a higher rating because of the smell, the attitude, the lack of anything to eat in the morning, and the fact this hotel cost more than our stay at a newer Hilton that had all of the “trimmings” when we were in York, NE. It’s terrible when you are traveling and you feel like you’re being taken advantage of by a hotel. I honestly think you should “pass” on this place unless you are stuck like we were.
