My spouse and I had an excellent stay at Youropo Clerigos in March 2025. The property is centrally located with many restaurants and sights within easy walking distance. While in a historic building, the studio was very modern, beautifully appointed and was just the right size for 2 people. The bed was super comfortable and had quality bedding. While we did not use the kitchen, it seemed to be well equipped. We specifically really appreciated having a washing machine in the unit. Also worth mentioning that our unit had a wonderful view on the Igreja dos Clérigos. The self check-in was extremely easy thanks to the instructions provided by the Youropo team ahead of our arrival. They were very responsive and made our stay very enjoyable. They even had lockers available on site to store our luggage after check out. They are the ones who organized our pick up from the airport which was really appreciated. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return if we go back to Porto.
Great apartment! We stayed in the top apartment with a great view. The hosts were very accommodating. Very comfortable apartment and a great location
Our experience staying here was mostly positive. The room was very clean and modern, and the views were really amazing. However, also regarding the views, it was a workout just getting to the unit… We had no idea it would be up a flight a stairs, followed by another flight of stairs, then a few more stairs. After all that, there’s another staircase to get to the bedroom and kitchen. Carrying our luggage all the way up wasn’t fun or anticipated. YOUROPO staff are offsite but, in our experience, they were quick to help out. Upon our arrival, at the locked front door, we tried sending a “Hi, we are here - what do we do now?” text to the one number we had. Fortunately, it was linked to WhatsApp, and we quickly received a response. The tone was off-putting, literally starting out with “As previously mentioned, here are the access codes…” If we had received that info, we wouldn’t have been standing out front, sweating under the sun and asking how to get in. Later on, we were messaged again, asking about our anticipated check-out time. I can confirm my wife had already sent this info when she booked the stay through our travel site of choice. These two conversations made it feel like this decentralized system of operating several properties isn’t the most efficient. I will note, however, that the man who stopped by and collected our city tax shortly after checking in was very nice. We had a pleasant chat for a couple minutes, and he gave me some really helpful restaurant recommendations. Despite the surprise of all the stairs, we enjoyed the room. There was a small, south-facing balcony, toward the city’s historic center… The small kitchen had all the glassware/utensils/dishes we needed (plus a mini fridge and microwave)… We didn’t use it, but there was also a small washing machine in the kitchen. Another note is that the phone woke us up in the middle of the night, a couple times. It was in the very early hours on a weekend and, I’m guessing, came from the callbox out front. There’s no way to unplug the wall phone. Getting going with the Wi-Fi was frustrating. A modem/router was in our room, but all the network names were of other rooms. "There isn't a specific network for your room... Use the network with the strongest signal", we were told. That seemed to indicate the equipment in our room was pointless. The location is great. The São Bento train station is just a few blocks away. Unfortunately, though, the walk to YOUROPO from there is uphill (again, there are all those stairs that follow). Yet, when venturing out, it’s a nice stroll down to the riverfront, Time Out Market (connected to the São Bento station), the Porto Cathedral, Bolhão food market, and plenty of other local points of interest. Be sure to look us up for plenty more travel info!
