I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yours Truly DC, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The hotel's location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the city's attractions. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and accommodating, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One of the standout features of Yours Truly DC is its unique charm, which is beautifully reflected in the vintage touches throughout the hotel. The record players, in particular, added a lovely nostalgic feel to the atmosphere. The attention to detail and thoughtful design elements made my stay feel truly special. Overall, I would highly recommend Yours Truly DC to anyone looking for a stylish and welcoming place to stay in the city. The combination of excellent service, great location, and charming atmosphere makes it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.
BEWARE- make sure to ask for a PRINTED receipt upon checkout to eliminate any unnecessary charges. We drove back just to do this because our emailed receipt never arrived despite multiple calls. The lady checking us out on 7/28/25 at noon was nasty when we confronted her about the discrepancies, but it was worth it to get our money back. The gentleman that checked us in was wonderful, and we appreciated that after a long drive. The room was decent, had comfortable beds, but lacked a working fridge. The bartenders were excellent, and provided great drinks and service - just make sure you get a printed receipt upon checking out of the hotel to eliminate unnecessary charges right then and there so you don't need to drive back like we did. I'd give it a 5/5 if it weren't for the dishonesty and lack of customer service with that lady upon checkout.
From the moment we stepped into the hotel room, both my friend and I started experiencing severe allergic reactions. She had constant sneezing, red eyes, and a runny nose, while I developed itchy skin and swollen bumps all over my body. Strangely, the symptoms would ease as soon as we left the hotel room, but returned immediately upon stepping back inside. It got to the point where we had to visit a nearby pharmacy to buy antihistamines just to get through our stay. While the hotel has a beautiful ambiance and pleasant aesthetics on arrival, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, the room itself was a letdown. There was a strong musty smell—possibly due to the old, dirty carpeting. I usually appreciate rustic decor, but in this case, the carpets felt extremely worn and poorly maintained. Overall, the environment in the room made it impossible to feel comfortable or relaxed. This hotel has potential, but it urgently needs better cleanliness standards and updated furnishings. Until those issues are addressed, I wouldn’t recommend it—especially for anyone with sensitivities or allergies.
