Yu Kiroro was a great stay! The room was big and comfortable, and the staff were really nice and helpful. The shuttle bus and gondola access made it easy to get to the slopes, and the restaurant served delicious food. Highly recommended for a cozy and convenient ski trip!
Family trip: 2A, 3K This resort is quieter, smaller than Club Med- which works well for my kids. Main course + buffet breakfast, adequate variety. They can accommodate food requests for “picky” eaters, and allergies. Hot water for shower is really nice and hot. Onsen available for guests- male vs female. Lovely area just outside of hotel to play in, can borrow sleds, snow toys; There’s a gentle slope; and an easy walk to the ski/gondola lift to go to the mountain centre. We took lessons from an instructor from the centre; managed to learn enough to enjoy the family slope easily on our own after that Good range of teas, coffees; bar with alcoholic drinks Great service (I especially enjoy talking to Padma as a fellow South East Asian!)- but everyone was really friendly and attentive; they spoke excellent English which really helps us figure out how to get things done The ski valet service is great as well- to store and dry equipment, laying them out ready for us to use in the mornings Easy to use shuttle bus service from doorstep to doorstep Highly recommend, and will consider repeat stays in future!
The room was quite great; it had everything, just like a serviced apartment. The decoration was very homey and felt warm during the winter season. We reserved a package that included breakfast and dinner for 4 days and 3 nights, a ski pass for 3 days, and other benefits. The breakfast was great, but the main dish each day was just so-so. Also, the dinner menu was not as good in quality as it should have been. Sometimes, the front desk staff was confusing. We arrived on the first day during a snowstorm, so skiing was not possible, but there was no communication about this when we checked in. As a result, we lost 1 day of our ski pass for free. However, overall, our stay was great. But some things didn’t feel worthwhile. And the price we had paid not cheap!
