This is an excellent hotel for the price and performance. We felt right at home throughout our stay. Our room was very clean. The breakfast was delicious and filling. In the evenings, you can enjoy tea and coffee in the lobby seating areas. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The tram is just down the street, and there are buses and minibuses to many areas in front of the hotel. It's very close to the university and the zoo. If you need to go to the courthouse, the tram goes directly. There's a very clean kebab shop down the street (enjoy it). The hotel's location makes you feel like you've returned from a long journey to your home in a quiet neighborhood. It's a nice hotel...
We stayed for a day as a group of three. The service was excellent, and the rooms were spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. The air conditioning was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was excellent, offering something for everyone. The hotel is located across from Gaziantep University and close to amenities like trams and buses.
First of all, it's definitely not a hotel that deserves 4 stars. The positive reviews are probably from friends and family. 1- The hotel is located in a slum. 2- There wasn't even a single-use shampoo in the room; after all, this is where travelers stay. 3- And the biggest bombshell: the 4-star hotel doesn't have a generator. There was a power outage that lasted for hours, turning the rooms into Turkish baths. The room doors don't work because they have key cards, there are no lights, and breakfast was practically nonexistent because there was no electricity. We were able to have a temporary breakfast in the semi-darkness, but we couldn't even find tea. The staff were guiding us with flashlights at 9 in the morning because this place, which needs a thousand witnesses to call itself a restaurant, is in the basement and doesn't even have a window. Why am I writing these things? Despite all this, there wasn't even an apology. They even asked me, "Did you pay when you entered? Because there's no electricity, I can't see." What you should have done was refund the cost of this disgraceful stay. We didn't stay at a public guesthouse for the sake of a hotel, but we ended up with worse conditions than a public guesthouse at three times the price. It's incomprehensible how the Ministry of Tourism granted a four-star license to this hotel, a converted apartment building.
