Stayed here a couple of times for courses, in 2025 (June) and 2025 (February). Lovely hotel, staff always friendly and helpful. Not in the center of Bologna but only a 15 - 20 minute walk away. Busy hotel, used for conferences etc. all year round but never overwhelming. Decor is 'grand', and hotel is welcoming. Only warning would be that the walls are quite thin, so noises from other rooms can be 'distracting'! Take earplugs...
Typical Italy hotel, with one exception. This hotel has air conditioning. Rate is also very reasonable.
I was on a business trip but as soon as I entered this hotel I knew this is going to be one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. One of the receptionists was so grumpy that one would think he is being paid for being specifically grumpy with the guests. The other one was using his vape behind the desk completely oblivious of the world around him! Wow ! Never seen anything like that in a 4 star hotel. Furthermore No air con , no iron , no coffee in the room. If you complained you were looked at as if you were an alien who dares to complain. The only saving grace were the lovely and helpful waiters at the bar. No one smiled ,but they did . If you are running a 4 star hotel , please do ensure that your staff has a will to live! Staying at this hotel was very painful for me and I shall never ever go back. EVER!
