Zanhotel Tre Vecchi

The room was nice to begin, but several maintenance issues: the door covering the refrigerator was loose on its hinge. The major issue, however, was the sewer gas/methane odor in the bathroom. After our first night, we reported it to the front desk. No repairs were made. That night, we kept the bathroom door shut. On our second (and last) morning, the odor was overwhelming. We reported it again as we checked out.

So there are two guys working at the entrance of the Hotel - the one who greeted us at morning was incredibly helpful, polite and made us feel at home and even suggested places to see and eat in town. The second one, when we visited the hotel again at night, is one of the rudest professionals we have met in hotels (and we travel a lot), he clearly approached us with hatred towards tourists and even tried to "bully" us. When we very politely explained to him that this is not the way to interact, especially when you work in the hospitality industry, he replied ironically: "Welcome to Italy my friends", and left. It is a shame that a hotel is ruining its image because it has placed the wrong people in the wrong positions.

Unsafe and not accountable! Not recommended! Out suitcases were vandalized inside the hotel room while we spent the day out, nothing was stolen because inside there were only clothes, but we cannot use them anymore, as the lock system was totally damaged. The hotel refuses to acknowledge its responsibility and so far have not refunded us by their failure on providing our stuff with security. They even challenged us, by saying that our suitcases might be damaged at the airport, suggesting we would be blaming them just to profit over the hotel! The location is very convenient, close to the train station, but I do not recommend this hotel at all!
