Zank by Toque Hotel

Zank is a wonderful upscale boutique hotel in the Bohemian neighborhood of Rio Vermelho in Salvador, perched on a terraced hill, the view is amazing! Service is excellent, with only 20 rooms, it allows you and the hospitality staff to connect. It feels very stylish, comfortable and modern. There is a roof top pool for sunbathing and taking in the view of the ocean. Zank's location puts you just a short walk to many night clubs and restaurants plus the beach. However, the hill is very steep on the return, so beware. kkkk. Breakfast is the highlight! A wonderful fresh selection of breads, cakes, fruits, omelets. Zank's rooms are stylish minimalist in the modern annex, and Portuguese colonial in the main house, which is a fabulously restored 100 year old mansion. Zank is a great place for couples or a wellness retreat. There are no small children under the age of 14 allowed, it's perfect for an adult getaway.

This hotel is good! Great location, attractive public rooms, comfortable and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms very nice, attentive service, excellent listener, good breakfasts and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Well done to all concerned! Street is safe and reception gave me some local tips and also safe advice ..( do be carefull with the cellphone and also do avoid some streets)! Only default is a sign in front the door because i forgot my room number or on the card. Nice location

Breakfast was super delicious and location is great. Other than that, the tired looking hotel badly needs a renovation ! Stains, marks and scraches everywhere. On the lift, pool area and shower I could see dirt and rusty spots. The bathrooms near the function room smelled like drain. Very unpleasant! Overall not good value for money. t's very expensive for what you get.
