Zava Boutique Hotel

Review for Evo Zava Hotel, Bucharest We stayed at Evo Zava Hotel for two nights and had a great experience. The hotel was clean and tidy, making for a comfortable stay. Upon arrival, the staff member who checked us in was very friendly and helpful, ensuring we had all the information we needed. The location is excellent—within walking distance to the Old Town, making it easy to explore the city’s historic center, restaurants, and nightlife. When we check out in the morning . we can confidently say we’d happily stay here again. A great choice for anyone visiting Bucharest!

We highly recommend this hotel. We paid a hefty fee for our dogs, and the hotel claimed it was dog-friendly. Our dogs were clean, well-behaved, and well-cared for. We only stayed one night, and the dogs slept on the floor. In the morning, we learned that we wouldn't get a refund of our large 120 euro deposit because there was hair on the carpet in the room, which is not true. The hotel is cheating and extorting money.

Due to a medical emergency i had to cancel the booking at Hotel Zava. I made the booking at booking.com with free cancellation up to 5 days in advance. The medical emergency happened on the fifth day before the reservation would take place, unfortunately we were not able to cancel the reservation and did it through booking.com first thing in the morning, knowing it probably wouldn’t be free, but we found out that Hotel Zava handled a 48 hour cancel notice and we could file for a free cancellation trough booking and if hotel Zava allowed this the booking would be canceled without any charges. Unfortunately we got no response, I called multiple times and kept hearing that their manager would contact me, but I heard nothing, I messaged the hotel on the booking app and I contacted them through the contact form on their website, but absolutely no response. I do have to state that I have no complaint about not being able to cancel for free as I am aware I made a contract with an obligation to pay. But I find this behavior very unprofessional and not something i expected from the reviews. If this can still be solved i’d like to hear so and will adjust my review accordingly. My reservation starts at 17/07/2025 and ends at 19/07/2025
