Pure Paradise – The Perfect Honeymoon Retreat at Zawadi Our stay at Zawadi was nothing short of perfection. After an exhilarating safari, this stunning resort was exactly what we needed—a serene, luxurious escape that felt like a dream from start to finish. The property itself is breathtaking. With just 12 private villas, it never felt crowded or chaotic—just peaceful, intimate, and perfectly designed for a honeymoon getaway. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, making it feel like a secluded paradise. But what truly sets Zawadi apart is the level of service. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like we were the only guests there. And then there’s the food—absolutely phenomenal. Every single day, we were treated to a completely new menu, crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients (much of it from their own farm!). It felt luxurious and special, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Dining at Zawadi was an experience in itself, and one of the many highlights of our stay. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for the ultimate romantic getaway in Zanzibar, Zawadi is it. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will forever cherish the memories of our time here.

My wife and I stayed here for four days during our honeymoon and it was absolutely phenomenal from A-to-Z start off, the property is beautiful right in front of the beautiful beach and overall the hotel is very well maintained. It is very quiet with only 12 villas on the whole property (and no kids running around), but that’s exactly what we wanted. However, what really sets this hotel apart from others is the phenomenal customer service that they provide. The staff is overly attentive and wants to make sure that you always have anything that you want or need and they greet you by name which is also very nice, you also got to know them over the course of your stay. The chef is phenomenal, and all of the food is fresh, with a large portion of their produce and dairy and eggs coming from the farm, which is maintained behind the property. You can also tour their farm, which I thought was quite spectacular and tough to maintain in a humid climate. The chef designs a menu with many options based on dietary restrictions and he is truly very talented, always presenting a variety of types of food and cuisines. This hotel is one of the best I’ve ever stayed at, and although a large portion of it is due to where it’s located, what puts it over the top is the customer service and the attention to detail by the staff. I couldn’t recommend this place more, it’s ideal for a couples destination if you want something more quiet.
