Zel Mallorca

We really enjoyed our stay for one week at Zel Mallorca. From the arrival to our departure everything was perfect. Great vibe and concept, super friendly staff, stylish rooms and a delicious breakfast every morning in the sun with so much variety and choice. We really liked the pool, coffee shop, the fitness center as well as the fitness classes. It was a great location to explore the Island and it was easy to park our car in the area. Thank you to the whole team- keep being you #born in the Med!

Be careful with this place, we booked through love holidays and paid extra for a sea view room, on arrival we were we had a ‘street view room’ the staff said that it’s a love holidays problem and we need to speak to them. After going back and forth we were sarcastically told ‘we have managed to upgrade you to a sea view room for free’ even after paying extra for it. We then got put in a room right above the pool and speakers so asked to move to a quieter spot. Matias helped us move and to be fair the room was much better and on the day so was he. Unfortunately after this when we saw him around the hotel he gave us the most disgusting look and was useless when we asked him any questions and acted as if we had done something wrong - he needs a customer service training course ASAP. 50% of the other staff were great but again the other 50% were useless and if you need help you are just told to ‘use the app’. The room was amazing (in the end), breakfast was great and location was good too. Downsides are not enough loungers and pool space, sauna and steam room were off most of the time and the hotel weren’t good at keeping out the public so gets very crowded. Wouldn’t go back to Zel but would go back to Mallorca. Look for other hotels and don’t waste your money. Not worth the price we paid at all.

Overpriced and awful location. Cheap wannabe Tulum vibes. They constantly play super loud house music in the hotel all day. No good restaurants nearby and the beach is lame compared to others around the island. Additionally, we showed up with a rental car the day we checked in after a long travel day. They informed us there was no hotel parking available and it is first come first serve and no way to book ahead of time. The staff instructed us to find street parking somewhere nearby. Mind you we just arrived and have no idea where we are in this busy, touristy, overcrowded town. Everywhere she told us to park was full and we dove around for hours. Ended up missing our dinner reservation!!! If you’re going to charge this much for a hotel, and you know many visitors rent cars, do not let us show up and ‘figure out’ street parking ourselves in this hectic town. After this experience it was hard for us to enjoy this hotel at all. Overall, you can get way better for your money somewhere else. It’s not relaxing or chic. Feels like a cheap party hotel trying to be way cooler than it actually is. We were disappointed.
