Overall, this place was wonderful. The view is unbelievably gorgeous. It is not a traditional all inclusive. We're from Texas and visit Mexico often so it is very different. If you don't buy the package, you'll need to purchase your meals in site a la carte or pay the buffet price. We just don't eat enough to justify that. We walked into town for one of the nights from the hotel and had an amazing dinner at a local restaurant. Our room did not have a view. It was actually of a retaining wall with pipes running on it. So, that was a little disappointing. The staff was very nice. We were not given any instructions upon arrival so we had to figure it out on our own. We used the spa and it was amazing! We got a massage and used the indoor pools and Jacuzzi. That was a highlight and the staff there was so helpful and welcoming. I would highly recommend the spa.
We stayed at the Dolce near Athens airport on two separate occasions and had a great experience both times. The location is perfect if you’re flying in or out of Athens — close to the airport (about 20 minutes by taxi) but in a quiet and relaxing setting right by the sea. It really doesn’t feel like an “airport hotel” at all. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with good beds and a nice view. Everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged. Both times we had a peaceful night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent — plenty of choice, fresh products, and something for every taste. We also had dinner at the hotel once and were pleasantly surprised by the quality. Staff were consistently helpful and friendly, which made a real difference. You can feel that the team is well-trained and cares about guests. Although we only stayed short periods, we had time to enjoy the pool and walk along the sea — a real bonus so close to the airport. All in all, two very positive experiences, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend the hotel to others.
Five stars on paper – barely one in reality. The hotel looks impressive at first glance – stylish design, a nice pool, and beachfront access. But behind the appearance lies poor service, sloppy maintenance, and what feels like failed management. Our room was extremely small, dark, and uncomfortable, not suitable for a large person comfortably, with a semi-transparent glass bathroom door that offers no real privacy. The view? Straight to the fence. The bunk bed was unsafe for children, and basic items like blankets and sheets were not provided on time. The shower was clogged, and water pooled on the bathroom floor. When I reported it, reception first tried to send a cleaner to wipe the floor rather than deal with the issue. Only after I physically went down to the front desk and insisted, they sent a proper maintenance person. We returned to our room at 3:30 PM on the second day – it still hadn’t been cleaned after the clogged was opened!!! Pool towels must be kept and reused for two days – which feels unreasonable. The toddler pool has zero shade, which is not ideal in the sun. If you’re hoping for a decent coffee – it’s only available at the bar, and at extra cost of 5.5€ There are clearly plenty of staff members – which only highlights the real issue: poor coordination and weak management. The dinner was underwhelming – bland, uninspired, and simply not enjoyable. After the first dinner, we chose to dine at nearby restaurants instead. Even when we checked out the receptionist didn’t ask how was our staying in the hotel. Maybe they just don’t care! For a hotel claiming five stars, the experience fell far short. Very disappointing. I won’t return – and I don’t recommend it.
