Had a little fun finding the hotel with Google maps. It's in a small street. But once you find it, the hotel is very well situated to explore Evora on foot. The hotel is nice. The breakfast buffet is good. And the pool is a refreshing retreat from the hot summer days when we were there.
Overall, this is a reliable hotel in a good location if staying in Évora. Modern building, generally well maintained and comfortable. The rooms are practical but lack charm (feels a bit like a dorm room). If you’re looking for practicality over fancy and luxury, you’ll probably think this is totally fine. The bathroom/shower are disproportionately nicer than the rest of the room and feels like most investment went into this. Balcony in the room has old uncomfortable chairs, starting to rust a bit and unsteady legs, could use some updating out there to make it more enjoyable to sit outside. Outdoor pool and seating is average for a mid range hotel. Again, practical over fancy. The gym was great with pretty decent equipment. There’s some small details/policies that are a bit odd here (not allowed to have a wine opener in the room, small deposit for pool towels which is returned at checkout, and required bathing cap to use the indoor pool). This is probably indication of issues with guests in the past. Concierge service was excellent. All staff at the bar and breakfast service were professional and helpful.
Beautiful hotel location in the lower and central part of Evora. I had a great two night stay here. There is a restaurant, bar, lounge, library room, gym and an outdoor & indoor pool. There's something for everyone. I picked a standard room that came with cement flooring which was beautiful and perfect for the weather. It was a heatwave during my stay. The pool was easy to use and great to help cut down on the heat. I wish all the seating came with an umbrella as more shade these days is paramount. I got a free breakfast during my stay. It was fine but nothing to rave about. Might be worth exploring the city for breakfast options. The dinner options I had were amazing in the city.
