宿坊 正伝寺 Temple hotel Shoden ji

My parents and I stayed here for 5 weeks. We really enjoyed the uniqueness and ambience of this special place. It is within walking distance of Hamamatsucho, Daimon, Shibakoen, Mita and Tamachi stations which meant we could travel around Tokyo easily. There are also many nice restaurants in the area, but the kitchen is easy to use as well! The apartment was very clean, spacious and comfortable for our needs. Otera Stays was also very kind and accomodating for us. We really loved staying here.

Extremely noisy but nice space. Very close from the train/metro/shikansen lines…need ear bud to sleep!

2023/12/31 New Year’s Eve spent at this temple-attached B&B Advantages: 1. Close to Zojoji Temple, only a 10-minute walk away, making it convenient to visit during the New Year. 2. Although the hotel staff will not show up (the room password is provided through the booking platform), the communication response is very fast. shortcoming: 1. It is very noisy next to the railway track and it is two-way. The Tokyo subway is very frequent. There are trains or subways passing by every minute. People must be deep sleepers to fall asleep. Like me, I couldn't sleep all night. 2. The room I booked is on the second floor. There is no elevator. It is dangerous to have to carry large luggage up and down the stairs. 3. There is a cemetery next to the temple, which is a blessed place in Japan; but if you are Taiwanese, you may want to consider seeing the cemetery.
