My husband, I, and my sister wanted to travel, and we were looking for a townhouse with two bedrooms, and we found this place. I used the GoTo discount on booking.com and the cost was ¥32,760 for two nights. I got a little lost, but after walking down a very narrow alley typical of Kyoto, I found the entrance. It was quite dark at night. The entrance is wide, and as soon as you enter, you will find the living room and kitchen. There is a bath, toilet, and sink in the back, and you can see a small courtyard from the bath and living room. There was a small Japanese-style room next to the entrance, and my sister used it as her bedroom. On the second floor, there was a toilet and a large Japanese-style room that could be separated by a sliding door. The Japanese-style room had a bed, so my husband and I slept on the second floor. The stairs were very steep so it was a little scary. The overall impression is that of a modern Japanese-style house rather than a purely Japanese-style house. It may be a little unsatisfactory for those who want a retro feel and a deep sense of history. The room was very clean and beautiful in every corner. Although I only communicate with the owner by email and never meet him, he was very kind and polite, and I felt safe staying there. It's also convenient because there's a washing machine, detergent, tableware, etc. However, please be aware that there are no amenities or pajamas like you would find in a hotel. I think it's basically aimed at inbound tourists, but I would also recommend this townhouse to Japanese people.
