觀海樓海景大飯店 Hotel Cloud Riverside

The hotel is near the road so easy to find, easy access, The room well neat and clean, with nice lighting, good air conditioning, a hot and cold shower, and a small television but poor reception on cable. The food compare to other hotels serving food in the morning, this hotel has a little menu of food to serve. Unlike to other than the same price of the booking. Cant accommodate a huge of people to dine in, due to the space of the dining area, maybe others should wait before you sit in, or you come quickly. but I don't see any problem at that time. Only my observation. But it's good to stay safe.

The room was decent size for a family of four. There were two beds that can sleep two and small table with 2 cushion to sit on. The cushions were really old and out of date. When I try to sit on the cushion near the table, I fell. It was not sturdy to hold a person's weight. The front desk people seem nice. Daily breakfast was decent although it was the same food items everyday. The furniture was really out of date. It looks like old furniture when the hotel was established nothing was updated. The room had a strange sewage smell coming out of the bathroom. The bed mattress felt old and springy, you can see through the sheets, cheap bed and bed sheets. The ventilation looks like it needs some cleaning, there was black dust on the vents. Strange odors in the room like dusty and smoke even though it's suppose to be a smoke free hotel. Housekeeping came everyday into our room but didn't seem to do much but take out our trash and replace our bathroom towels. They gave cheap slippers and can only be worn once. I brought some from our previous hotel visits and they threw it away.

It is one of the worst hotels I have ever been to, the views, as you can see in the photos, are horrible, the rooms are scary, it seems like a ghost is going to come out, old, smell to wet and...., dirty sheets as you can see in the photo by yourself, Please give opinion what is in the sheet. Air conditioning or you die of cold or you die of heat. The hotel staff was not friendly either, it seems like they don't like their jobs. If I choose a hotel in Tamsui again, I prefer one of the ones near Fort Santo Domingo, the views are absolutely better. I do not recommend this hotel, neither friendliness, nor cleanliness, nor good feeling, nor good views, horrible breakfast and to finish... We read ghost stories. I give it one star because I cannt give them less
