Hótel Varmaland

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area! Check in was nice and smooth and the receptionist were very nice. The room was amazing, but it was so hot it was hard to sleep. However, what made the trip the best was Theodore, the head chef, at dinner. He was very kind and informative! He was smart, well travelled, and actually spent the time to share stories and connect with us! He explained the history of the hotel, and explained all the dishes with great detail. He is the one that made that hotel 5 stars!

Undoubtedly the best hotel we have stayed in on our trip to Iceland. We came as a family from Spain and celebrated our girlfriend's birthday. Exquisite attention from the hotel staff. Hotel designed with great taste. We loved the buffet breakfast. The beds were very comfortable. Thank you very much for everything!

We stayed here for two nights and were very satisfied. The staff at reception were friendly, the rooms were modern and not too small. The price-performance ratio was definitely convincing. We would like to emphasise the extensive breakfast buffet, really great! Two downsides: Our room was on the ground floor and offered a moderately appealing view of the car park and consequently you can see from the car park through the large windows, which is why we always closed the curtains. The food in the restaurant was visually appealing but left a lot of room for improvement in terms of flavor.
