Royale Retreat Hotel & Spa Near Mall Road

We just got back from an awesome 2-night stay at Hotel Royal Retreat in Shimla. The location is perfect—peaceful yet close enough to all the main attractions including Ridge (just 5-10 mins walk). The staff were genuinely friendly and super professional; every single request was handled with care, and they made us feel right at home. The breakfast spread was impressive, and all the food we tried was fresh and delicious. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered beautiful views. We especially loved how the team always greeted us with a smile and made sure everything went smoothly. Overall, we’re extremely happy with our stay. Great place, amazing service, awesome food, and a fantastic location—can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in Shimla!

A Perfect Blend of Comfort, Warmth, and Himalayan Charm I had a truly wonderful experience staying at Royal Retreat Hotel in Shimla. Tucked away from the hustle of the city, this place offers the perfect peaceful escape with breathtaking views of the hills and forests. The rooms were neat, cozy, and tastefully decorated — everything you'd expect from a comfortable retreat in the mountains. The staff was extremely polite, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They made me feel genuinely welcomed throughout my stay.

My friend had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel. The most shocking issue was the complete lack of basic security measures – no CCTV cameras in the parking area or around the premises. He parked his superbike, and when he came back, it had multiple scratches and dents. Such damage to an expensive vehicle is completely unacceptable, and the hotel showed no responsibility or support. To make matters worse, there was no receptionist present most of the time. When we tried to raise our concerns, no staff member seemed interested or accountable. This shows a serious lack of management and customer care. If you care about your safety, your belongings, and basic hospitality, I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel. There are much better options available in the same price range with proper security and professional service.
