The room was average, but the swimming pool was great with three pools, including a semi-indoor one. Check-in was disappointing—both rooms I booked weren’t ready, and we had to wait up to an hour. The bedroom carpet felt old and thin. On the bright side, breakfast was excellent with a changing variety of Indonesian dishes, and most staff were friendly.

We booked the Merlynn Suite, their highest-suite room, expecting a premium five-star experience — but what we received was more in line with a three-star hotel. Check-in was inefficient and slow. We had to wait around 25 minutes, even though other counters were open but inexplicably unused. We arrived at 5 PM (well past the 3 PM check-in time), yet our room was still not ready. While a fruit basket was offered as an apology, the issues didn’t stop there. The suite’s jacuzzi was broken, leaking water all over the bathroom floor. The drainage system didn’t function properly, leaving the puddle to sit there all day. We called housekeeping at 9 PM to clean it — they never came until we followed up three hours later. We regularly use this hotel for weekly training events, but this stay was truly disappointing. Poor service, lack of responsiveness, and unprepared facilities are not what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere until meaningful improvements are made.

I can tell this used to be a 4 star hotel 5-10 years ago, but definitely not now. The breakfast is filled with indonesien cuisine, very limited options for international dining. Some plates were not clean. Orange juice was always out of stock. Wifi is slow. The interior of the hotel is so old I don’t know what was the interior designer thinking of when designing this hotel. On a positive note, the staff are nice but they don’t speak english a lot, the room was clean and the view our rooms are beautiful.
