I had a great stay at this 4-star hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with all the essential amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out easy. The hotel’s location was convenient, close to shops and attractions. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety of options. Overall, a pleasant experience and good value for the price.
The location is nearest to the International Airport. The air conditioner in the room is not working properly. But the staff of the hotel is very helpful. We couldn't find any Cab for going to the airport because it is too nearer from the hotel and other things we ended up with our cash currency. The hotel staff helped us to drop from his hotel cab and were charged by our credit card. It was really a great help for us and reached on a timely basis to the airport.
I booked Grand Ixora Kuta Resort based on its ratings, but it falls far below 4-star standards — at best, this is a 2-star hotel with a polished front. At check-in, I was only given one room key because they claimed the hotel was fully booked. Later, when I requested a second key, I was told they only issue one per room. When I insisted, they said I could have a second key — for an additional charge of 50,000 IDR. This gives the impression they simply don’t trust their own guests, which is not the experience you expect at a supposedly 4-star property. The room had a strong smell of drain waste upon arrival, and cleanliness throughout the hotel was substandard. Basic amenities like an iron or ironing board weren’t available either. On top of that, they hand you a list of possible charges for anything from a stain on a towel to a missing spoon or cup — it feels more like a warning than a welcome. The pool is small, barely gets any sunlight, and is not inviting. The room’s AC and electricity only work when the room key is inserted, meaning the room gets hot every time you leave with the key — unless you leave someone inside or request (and pay for) a second key. Most concerning of all: while stepping out for dinner, a hotel security guard offered me drugs. I was shocked. This alone speaks volumes about the lack of professionalism and oversight at this hotel, and honestly made me feel unsafe. While some of the staff are polite, many came across as dismissive and unhelpful when asked for support. I’ve stayed in far better 3-star hotels that were cleaner, more accommodating, and actually cared about guest comfort. Had I known the true standard of Grand Ixora, I wouldn’t have booked here. Unfortunately, I can’t get a refund — but I’m just relieved to be checking out today
