Azienda Agrituristica Le Chiuse

I stayed here three nights and it was so so nice. I arrived later in the evening and had a warm welcome and was offered dinner (unfortunately I already ate). I had the attic room within the main building which was a quiet, comfortable and cosy room. The breakfast was great and there was a lot of veriety. The smell of the freshly baked cake that crept into my room each morning made me very happy. The setting is very cozy and the breakfast delicious. They ask you in the morning if you want to eat dinner there tonight. And the dinners there were so good; made me feel bad I didn't have dinner there first night. Really good price per person and you get a 3 course meal with a good amount of wine and water. Really nice ambience sitting outside with all the other guests. Staff is really friendly. Although their English is sometimes limited we were able to communicate very well, and laughed about the struggles of the language barrier. They really try their best to help you. Also they have a cute dog there called Billy Furbo and all the guests just love him, such a sweet guy. The pool was nice and cold and a peaceful place to relax after a hot day visiting one of the nearby cities. All in all a great place to stay! The only thing to mark was that the electricity was a bit weak sometimes and the lights in the room flickered often times. this did not affect the AC or other power outlets.

The property is located in a beautiful area, far from the commotion of the cities... Authentic agriturismo with delicious home-made local products from their garden. The host and staff are very helpful and friendly. The downside is, like many places in Sicily, the non-stop barking of dogs around the property, which can be irritating when trying to sleep... But overall a very good experience.

We just got back from our 10 day stay at Le Chiuse. There is much to be said but I will keep it short. This place is excellent in service, food and staff and an oasis in the middle of a peaceful Sicilian countryside, positioned so that you can reach the major sites, albeit a car is needed and thanks to Giorgio at Le Chiuse, who put us in contact with the local Spataro car hire...also a five-star service. I also want to comment on the AMAZING dinners we had at Le Chiuse...Giorgio, you are a talented chef ! There is a large pool and I would recommend getting a room facing the pool if you can, that way you can see Etna directly from your room. I big thank you to Giorgio, Seena, Manuela and Tiziana for making our stay a very memorable one...for this reason, we'll be seeing you again ...Ciao !
