This place is one of my favorite hotels of all time! The patio to dine on has spectacular views of Matera. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious, we stayed in the cave room and it was the highlight of our Italy trip. Area the hotel is in is very quiet and out of the way from the tourist crowds. Breakfast buffet in the morning offers fruit, focaccia and meat selection.
Perfect! Very nice room, big and comfortable. Staff were very helpful with everything including parking and the view from the hotel is great, especially from the bar/bistro right above.
This hotel 🏨 is fantastic the cave bedroom had a glass floor and beneath the glass you could see the area that was used to bake bread the cave hotel is full of history once part of the church where the abbot's slept. Now the rooms above the church have been converted to room with all the mod cons what a fantastic experience We had breakfast included and I have to say it's one of the best selections of food I have seen. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. Leading up to our trip the hotel gave us valuable information. Please use this hotel if you ever visit the sassi in Matera. Excellent.
