By far the best hotel I’ve stayed in in a while. The quality of sleep is unmatched and the mattress is so comfortable I never wanted to leave the bed. The room is humongous by modern standards and it looks classy rather than dated. The cleaning team is whisper quiet which is something we really appreciated during the mornings. I can only find a couple of faults. The shower wasn’t warm during peak hours between 5 PM and 8 PM. And the breakfast buffet wasn’t replenished fast enough for such a busy hotel. So it wasn’t uncommon to come down for breakfast and see no kind of eggs for 10-15 minutes. Other than that breakfast was plentiful with top notch ingredients. The pool area is decent, granted I doubt it’d be enough during peak season. There’re plenty of wonderful beaches within a short drive or a bus ride in the area. For the sleep quality alone I’d stay here again. Loved this hotel and would come back here for both business and holiday.
Nice hotel. We staid for two nights before moving on to another location south of the island. All of the staff was very kind and professional - reception, restaurant, bar, room staff, everyone was friendly and caretaking if you had any question or request. The rooms are clean and offering good space. The beds had two different pillows, which I really liked. Only thing I missed was details like bathrobe, slippers or the obligatory free bottle of water - however, details that are not in every country or region the same. We booked only with breakfast, which was offering a decent choice and was good and tasty. There is free parking in front of the hotel, and also you can park inside closed areas for free if you prefer some extra security. The hotel is bit away from the center of Olbia, which offer you a silent night. But there is literally nothing around near the hotel. If you are there by car, you can drive within 5 mins. to the center of Olbia - free parking at the harbor is available. If you have to walk, it will take around 30 mins. to get to the center, which might be not so comfortable - depending on ones preferences.
I travel globally and know what 4- and 5-star hotels are expected to deliver. Just before this, I stayed at Moxy and Aloft in Europe – both 4-star and significantly better, for a fraction of the price. Here, I paid €600/night for the Presidential Suite and was shocked by the lack of basic hospitality. No one helped with luggage, not at check-in, not at the room. At the pool, we got yelled at for asking for a towel. Sunbeds were broken, the gym equipment rusted, and water pressure in the suite was extremely low. Dirty air filters triggered an allergic reaction. Front desk staff spoke poor English, making every interaction difficult. Platinum Bonvoy lounge access didn’t work, no help offered. At breakfast, staff responded to a simple request about milk with rude stares and silence. Facilities alone don’t justify a 4-star label. Service defines the stay – and this was a complete failure. We ended the stay and moved to a true 5-star hotel in Porto Cervo.
