We spent 3 nights at Hotel San Giovanni Roma and truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a peaceful neighborhood but still offers easy access to the center of Rome via public transportation. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. One of the highlights was the wonderful breakfast each morning—fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. The staff were warm and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local advice. A relaxing and convenient base for exploring the Eternal City. Highly recommended!

Could not have been happier with this hotel! Everything was really clean, breakfast was perfect, the employees were so pleasent and nice and the location is in such a beautiful neighbourhood. Also there are a lot of buses nearby. We had a great experience! Would recommend.

Do not recommend. We chose this hotel because it was marked as “pet-friendly,” but the experience was far from it. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff showed a clear negative attitude upon seeing our small dog (2 kg). Without even telling welcome and what hotel offers, we were immediately met with a list of rules: our dog was never to be left alone in the room, even briefly, despite 35°C temperatures outside. We were also told we must always leave a phone number and be ready to return to the hotel at any time if needed. Sorry, but this is not what I expect from a 4-star hotel that claims to welcome pets. I came to Rome to explore, not to stay in a hotel room with my dog—and certainly not to expose my pet to extreme heat. If pets aren’t genuinely welcome, please don’t market the hotel as pet-friendly.
