What a great hotel! The value you get for the price is simply outstanding. We initially booked this slightly cheaper accommodation with the idea of exploring the island during the day — but the hotel was so good that we ended up spending most of our time relaxing here. Spacious, beautifully designed rooms, an incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, charming atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food — everything exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was a highlight, with so many sweet options to choose from — we loved it! The adults-only pool is the perfect place to unwind. Many thanks to the team for such an unforgettable stay!

We had a wonderful time in Sardinia. Staying at the Mangia definitely added to our experience. The breakfast was very tasty with a huge variety of food. However the breakfast service was quite slow and at times rude. The same with housekeeping, some days we were blown away by how clean and detailed the room was then the opposite on another day. Consistency was missing! The larger pool area was immaculate. They could perhaps have a better system to offer pool bar service. We had to constantly wave down the waitress. Room quality was excellent and the location was perfect for us. The hotel provided a list of restaurants and beaches and we were so impressed, we tried pretty much all of their recommendations. The added touch of complimentary yoga, meditation and Pilates classes was the cherry on the cake for this week long relaxing holiday. We will definitely be back.

I was excited to visit Sardinia for the first time, and we chose to stay away from the busy island life at this beautiful resort. The serene, “zen” atmosphere immediately stood out to me. I loved the architecture and tasteful design—everything feels thoughtfully curated, with natural materials and furniture creating a calm and inviting environment. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the setting. While the staff were generally friendly, they weren’t particularly attentive and often seemed disorganized. I couldn’t help but wonder if they were understaffed, as they appeared stressed and constantly rushing between tasks. It felt like there was a lack of oversight to ensure a smooth guest experience—this was noticeable across breakfast, poolside service, lunch, and dinner. Small but important touches you’d expect from a five-star hotel were missing. For instance, no one asked about our stay at checkout, it was a purely transactional interaction, and when we arrived for lunch at 14:00, we were told the kitchen would close in 30 minutes, so we “better hurry up.” Another moment was being asked to leave our breakfast table because there was a line outside waiting. On the positive side, compliments to the chef, who spoke passionately about his creations, and to the pastry chef, whose morning treats (too tempting to resist!) were a highlight. All in all, it’s a stunning property, but there’s a noticeable disconnect between the breathtaking setting and the level of service you’d expect from a hotel in this category. Reading other reviews, I can see I’m not alone in feeling this way—a real pity, as the place has so much potential.
