The Namkhan a Small Luxury Hotel of the World

Our stay at the Eco Lodge was truly exceptional! Carl and his team were remarkably warm and attentive – they not only remembered our names but also catered to our preferences with great care. The yoga session was invigorating, and the breakfast was a delight, offering a diverse array of delicious options. Our room was wonderfully cozy, and the veranda provided the perfect spot to unwind with a beer at the end of the day. The entire lodge is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a serene and refreshing atmosphere. The outdoor gym was a standout feature, and the swimming pool was definitely worth a dip. We can’t wait to return!

A quiet retreat on the outskirts of Luang Prabang. Naturally bounded by its namesake river, the property is very well maintained. Ever courteous, Carl’s team made our stay very memorable. Organic produce grown right on the property is a treat for the eyes. The restaurant is fabulous only made better by the vegetarian options on the menu. The free shuttle service to town center was very helpful as was the golf cart to and from the cabins. Internet connection was expectedly patchy. Our only regret, not staying longer.

Though it's about 20 minutes into the heritage part of the city, there is plenty to keep you occupied on site. One could easily have 2 full days of activities at the resort (kayaking, tubing, cooking classes, farm tour, yoga, walking trail, etc), and they provide a shuttle into the city. I stayed in a dome by the river. Spacious dome with covered outdoor seating. It would be fun to come with a group and stay in one of the 2-bedroom villas. Food was great, too, including breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive.
