The hotel is generally nice and perfectly located. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is also fine. Everything is clean and well maintained, as is usually the case with Marriott Hotels. However, the rooms did not fully convince me. The sound insulation is not very good — you can hear a lot of noise from the street (even though we were on the 9th floor) and also from the neighboring rooms. When the doors next to us were closed, our walls would shake. This can be bothersome for people who are sensitive to noise. In addition, the room was relatively small — with two people and two large suitcases, it felt quite cramped. Other than that, there was nothing to complain about.

A good hotel with modern, well-appointed rooms and solid service throughout. The meeting rooms are nice, but the common area becomes too small when all meeting rooms are in use. The gym is located on the top floor, well-equipped, and offers a fantastic view. The hotel is centrally located in Riga and within walking distance of the Old Town. I’m deducting one star due to the cleanliness of the room — specifically the bathroom. The shower area was poorly cleaned, and I found five hairs in the shower. The showerhead and faucet had also not been properly cleaned. Cost around €120 — worth it.

Hottest weekend in Riga, we booked the hotel because it had air conditioning. When we arrived we saw the air conditioning was not working. Additionally, the beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were the thinnest I have ever seen. This is weird for a Marriott as it usually has the best beds. It was too hot to sleep properly without the air conditioning. The hotel management told us that it was not working for quite some time and that the solution depended on the city council. The only alternative solution was one ridiculously tiny air machine from the 70s which gave 0 cold air. We asked for some kind of compensation due to the fact that we had chosen this hotel because it had air conditioning and we knew it would be very hot in Riga, but the management decided it was not worth any sort of compensation. Great service and customer experience!
