Away from the center. Rooms are quiet dusty. The pillow and beds were covered with hair. Easier parking and receptionists were helpful. Air cond not too cold. The water pressure was very very very good. 😋
Service is not so good. Check in there for holiday with my family. Take 1 house with 2 rooms, the room is nice unfortunately the from i check in complaint about the tv function there is no one coming to help. I check with my sister and my cousins who also check in at same hotel the problem was same. Please management take note about this.
If there's a case that an organisation should focus on its core business instead of venturing into sectors that seem a natural extension of its business, it is the the Royal Perak Golf Club attempt at entering the accommodations business with the RPGC Garden Hotel. As a serviced apartment it is only middling at best. The positives is that the apartment is of good size and should be sufficiently large for comfortable "at home" feel for lodgers especially long term lodgers. It is clean and the low maintenance solid tile flooring in the living area is great as a transition to the solid wood floored bedroom. There is a sink and small bar fridge and a kettle but no cooking or heating up facilities for dining in eventhough there is a small square dining table for two. A microwave oven should be the least one should expect for a serviced apartment if not an electric or induction cooktop, cutlery, plates and bowls. The two air conditioners work well although it takes some time to come to temperature given the hot and humid Malaysian climate. The property is a secured gated property and this gives an impression of good security. That's about where the positives end. Staff is friendly but not professionally trained for hospitality and accommodations business. Support staff shared with the RPGC and does not respond quickly to the hotel needs when I complained about the internet access services. Firstly the basic amenities 1) internet access is poor. There is little to no cellular mobile signals at its location. Then some bright spark decide that it is a good idea to have mobile data service through unifi (mobile internet provider) to provide wifi internet services for the apartments which was again low to nonexistent. Big fail. 2) television and entertainment is virtually non existent because of the low UHF signals at the location and the hotel management decided that it would be a great idea to provide a "TV Box" running on the internet to provide TV and AV services. Obviously not thinking because the mobile internet data service subscribed is virtually non existent. And someone should also advise the management that a TV Box is a legally suspect device that potentially breaches copyright laws. Why is there a TV in the bedroom that does not function because of the poor reception to public TV or cable TV or internet TV? 3) while the lounge chairs and sofa are nice and comfortable, the bed and the mattress is a big failure. You can feel every spring coil on the mattress and hear them creak with every movement. The bed linen were clean. Bedroom furniture is basic without built-in cupboard and the dresser is just a table in front of a small mirror. 4) there is no directly connected pool or gym both of which are a walk through the golf club car park into the RPGC building and you have to apply for permission to use the facilities at the reception counter. Not fair advertisement to claim there's a pool and gym.
