Mision Colima

I would give it 5 stars because of the extremely low rate we paid: 40 bucks a night for a large and very comfy room with cable TV, air conditioning and large comfortable king size beds. Unfortunately, the pool water looked like a residual interwar puddle, so dirty you could barely see the bottom below the various dead insects and tree/bush debris floating on the surface. If they change the water more than once every 5 years they'll probably earn the 5th star.

Room is fairly clean, otherwise this place is a mess. From the unsmiling and overworked receptionist to the "welcome" drink station covered in ants to the archaic paperwork and old room keys, a complete overhaul is needed, beginning with management and training. Avoid if possible.

Slow check-in. Room was very far from the lobby with the view of a brick wall. The bathtub had a small spider in it and there was no hot water. Finally, the vending machine was all but empty as only four of the twenty compartments were filled...one of which was a muffin that looked like a petri dish.
