Wakax Hacienda Cenote & Boutique Hotel Small Luxury Hotels of the World

A magical Hacienda located 10 min drive outside of Main Street Tulum. The compound is well maintained and designed. A lot of thought and effort has gone into the resorts operation and guest experience. A very private hotel in that you can go all day and really into see some other people at meals. Two very different but beautiful Cenotes are the main features along with 3 pools. The buildings and jungle gardens are stunning. The atmosphere is tranquil, relaxed and effortless luxury. The staff were incredibly helpful and gave great recommendations when venturing into Tulum or elsewhere. The rooms were very Zen. Food fresh and god quality. Overall a really great experience and highly recommended.

This hotel hacienda has been one of the best places I've been in Tulum. The hotel staff greet you at the entrance and help you with your bags and give you a tour of the property. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms have very high ceilings and are very clean and fresh. We stayed in a suit and had a small back porch with a hammock. They offer so many free activities inside the hacienda, including biking tour, cenotes, lake kayaking or standup paddling, underground river tour. Super recommended you do the underground river tour! Is a great experience. The cenotes and lakes it has are great and feels like all for yourself since the property is so big, you don't see many people around. The restaurant and food is also great! They have excellent guacamole with chicharrón, and their meats and chorizos are also very tasty. We had the guacamole every day! This is one place that has everything in one and you should not miss it! I would definitely be coming back!

This place felt like godsent after experiencing all inclusive craziness in another Cancun resort. The resort is peaceful and very beautiful. The grounds are really big and fun to explore with bikes provided. Food was good and even the souvenir shop was quite authentic. It’s not in town so if you want go to town center and don’t have your own car, you have to hire a taxi at exorbitant price, or try out colectivo like the locals.
