Van der Valk Hotel Haarlem

A highly satisfying stay at a well-regarded hotel brand. This hotel is part of a well-reviewed chain, and although it’s located outside of the main tourist hotspots, that actually works in its favor — especially for self-driving visitors. Being away from the hustle and traffic of big cities makes it a peaceful and convenient choice. There’s also ample free parking available for guests, which is a big plus. The hotel itself is spacious, with tasteful interior design and stylish decor. We stayed in a triple room with three separate beds, and the layout was very comfortable. Cleanliness was excellent, and the bathroom featured a larger-than-usual bathtub, making for a very relaxing soak. On the 3rd floor, between two buildings, there’s a cozy shared lounge area with free coffee and fruit, as well as plenty of seating — a great touch for guests to relax outside their rooms. Hotel staff were friendly and courteous throughout our stay. The breakfast experience was another highlight — the restaurant was clean and well-organized, with a wide variety of food and drinks that were both tasty and satisfying. We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. One small suggestion: having a hot water kettle in the room would be more convenient, as it would save guests from going to the 3rd floor every time they need water. Overall, this hotel left a very positive impression. I would definitely choose this brand again for future trips to the Netherlands.

very nice staff, the food is very delicious and good portions. the rooms are clean and spacious. my favorite is the lobby where hot drinks are available and you can have a nice chat and play board games with your friends. i love it

I love this hotel. We have a spacious room, balcony, quite floor, clean and the reception all so nice. Charging point at parking area, so easy for us to put our car, and big parking area also. Nice location 👌 Highly recommend 👍
