Hilton Chengdu Chenghua Close to Panda Base and Chengdu East Railway Station

I’d like to give my heartfelt thanks to the breakfast duty manager, Joe, and the entire restaurant team. Because of a recent surgery, I can only eat soft or finely cut food. To my surprise, Joe thoughtfully briefed all the staff in advance, so every morning someone would kindly help prepare my meals to suit my needs. The chef who cooks the small noodles deserves special mention – you can tell they put real care into controlling the texture to make it just right. What I received was far beyond what I ever expected – it truly felt like being cared for at home. Traveling alone to Chengdu for surgery could have been a lonely experience, but this team made me feel deeply looked after and warmly welcomed. I sincerely hope that Joe and the F&B team can be recognised with a monthly award or some kind of honour – they truly deserve it. This experience reminded me of the best part of Eastern hospitality – empathy and warmth that make this hotel shine. Living in Australia, I’m not used to this level of genuine care, which makes me appreciate it even more.

We had a wonderful stay at Hilton Chengdu Chenghua. The hotel is luxurious and modern, and the check-in and check-out processes were seamless. Duty Manager Bob Song, who promptly assisted us with our requests—thank you for taking care of our needs so efficiently. The 17th-floor lounge was a perfect spot to unwind after a full day of exploring Chengdu. Located on the 2nd ring road, the hotel offers easy access to both the airport and city center via Didi, helping us avoid the heavy traffic in the heart of the city. However, one area for improvement would be the staff's friendliness and approachability. Many seemed hesitant to engage or initiate conversation, which sometimes made us feel overlooked. This is a minor note but would help create a warmer atmosphere for guests, especially for those familiar with the welcoming hospitality found in Malaysia and Thailand. Overall, though, it was an excellent stay!

This hotel allow guests to smoke and could smell cigarette smoke when walking through the corridor. The door was not soundproof and able hear very clearly when guests opened their door and talking.
