We came here for a five night stay. The manager greeted us at the lobby and took us to the upgraded suite for Diamond benefit. The room was not working in terms of the lights and that manager got technician to repaired it after. The breakfast buffet has lots of choices and the service was good. Beware that you need to bring your own head cap if you want to hit the pools. One negative experience we had was with the entrance parking attendant whom was rushing us to get moving when clearly there was infants and luggage that needs to be offload, not only be didn't offered to help, he rushed our lady friend driver. So he clearly needs some training. Didn't get to try any hotel restaurant. The location is excellent next to a mall and train stations. Lastly, the executive lounge was relaxing and filled with beverage
Room design and comfort level: 5 stars Service: 5 stars, patient, friendly, professional Location: 4.5 stars. Downtown and above a luxury shopping mall. Parking: free, validation code only works for 30 mins. Things I don’t like: - Always need to go to 88th floor and switch to another elevator to go back to my hotel room. Quite annoying. - Need to go to the front desk on the 88th floor to register and renew parking code every time before head out , quite tiring. - No clear signages for parking spots close to the hotel entrance in B2. Not new-guest friendly - Walkability: Not walking distance to nearby downtown restaurants and shopping centers. You need to get taxi or drive 5 mins or so.
In times of covid and being stuck in China, the Conrad Hotel is good place to “escape” daily stress and feel a little more home. It’s definitely pricy but has a good western standard. Probably the best western food you can get in Shenyang. It has a stunning view of the city in the night. 4/5 because it’s in the north of the city and takes quite a while to go there from the main places.
