The Moment Hotel Hualien by Lakeshore

Stayed there for 2 nights in a dormitory for eight. Very decent space in the bunker bed. Nice smell of washing powder I guess. Sheet, pillow and blanket are clean and made of nice material I think are cotton and linen. Spacious common area for work and cooking. Staff are super nice and helpful. If I go to Taroko again, I certainly will stay in this hotel again. O lastly, parking is free too.

This hotel is very clean and modern. It's also very worth the price but only if you can accept a lesser offering of service. Maybe you even prefer not to interact with hotel staff! The check-in and check-out process are via kiosks which is pretty awesome. And the bedrooms and bathrooms are quite clean. There is also a common kitchen and lounge area for visitors to cook, eat, and socialize.

We stayed here two nights, the first morning being Wed April 6, the day of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake. The staff were fantastic managing all the frightened and stressed guests. While we all waited in the parking lot, the hotel staff provided food, refreshments, chairs, first aid, and most importantly, information and reassurance on the current situation. When we returned to our room in the early afternoon, housekeeping had already tended to our room. Thank you to the Team at The Moment Hotel Hualien. We look forward to visiting Hualien in the near future and staying at The Moment Hotel again. Wishing the people of Hualien a speedy rebuild and recovery.
