Hotel Samson

We can here for lunch after a tour at peterhof. Service was polite and the restaurant had a classy ambiance. Vodka and beer was served with lunch. Four courses of salad, soup, main and dessert are depicted. My favorite was the beef stroganoff, which is also a traditional Russian dish. The richness of the beef gravy and potatoes was nicely balanced by sweet spring pickles. Finished the meal with a cup of tea and I felt very satisfied with my lunch as did the other members of my group.

While I cannot speak about the rooms, the lunch disappointed us. We went to visit the Peterhof palace and wanted to get some lunch. We saw that they offered lunch. The waiter offered us first a large menu. When we asked to sit down (the price was appropriate and the selection looked good) he was not able to understand us in the slightest. After a few minutes of him asking us to wait and him standing there, he asked "for ?" We said yes and we got seated. When we asked for the menu back so we could order, we found out they offered a set menu for lunch. It was a great price with good food but the fact that both waitors spoke little to no English (it's a hotel restaurant) and gave us the menu for dinner was very concerning.

We visited the restaurant not the hotel. The restaurant was great with one of the exception s.! The manager was kind of greedy, when I ask her to lower the music sound she did not do it at all. We listened stupid rap and other junk while eating.
