Lord Charles Hotel Somerset West a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Stayed here with work, the staff were very attentive, and Enrico in the St Andrews bar, I cannot compliment him highly enough. After only 1 night staying, I walked in and he remembered my drinks order. The hotel is safe and historic and no issues of safety. I would recommend to everyone!

We had a pleasant stay at the Lord Charles Hotel in Cape Town. The rooms were clean, spacious, and offered a lovely view, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The hotel itself is calm, well-maintained, and offers a peaceful atmosphere — a great place to relax. There’s some room for improvement, particularly with the breakfast buffet, which could benefit from more variety. Also, the service from some of the waitresses could be improved with a bit more training and attentiveness. Overall, still a good experience and would recommend for a comfortable stay.

The stay at the hotel is very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. I was there for a conference. What stands out is the staff. They’re kind and remember you and go out of their way to make you feel special and cared for. Especially Griselda. She is amazing. She even remembered me from the last time I was there.
