The Tree House Boutique Hotel by The Living Journey Collection

We spent 5 days in beautiful Cape Town staying at The Tree House Boutique Hotel in Green Point. What a lovely gem of a place this hotel is. It’s quite central and walking distance to the waterfront.The staff are amazing, a shout out especially to the manager Elton, and to Mercy, Melody & Sheila, who were front and central to our needs and so helpful. Breakfasts at The Tree House are fresh and delicious, compliments to everyone in the kitchen and the chef who made sure we were well fed and happy each morning. Always coffee & tea and a variety of cake available in the afternoons when we’d get home from sightseeing and I was pleasantly surprised to have my birthday acknowledged with lovely cupcakes. There are personal drivers recommended should you want to go out on excursions/tours who are knowledgeable and fun (Ishmail & Chris) and of course, Peter for transfers too. The decor is warm and welcoming, our room was spacious with an huge comfy bed, and the pool in the courtyard is very inviting (even on a winters day). Treating myself to a hydrating facial @ Zest Spa, on my last morning was a great decision before our long flight home to Sydney! Our stay was so relaxing and we would definitely love to return again.

I stayed at this hotel after a disappointing experience at the Commodore Hotel, and the difference was staggering. From the moment I arrived, I was met with exceptional attention to detail and genuinely warm, friendly service from the entire team. Every part of my stay was thoughtfully taken care of—from the immaculate room to the little personalized touches that made me feel truly welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy throughout my stay. If you’re looking for a hotel that treats guests with care and professionalism, this is the place. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Great place to stay. We booked a mountain view room but had no view and the room needed a bit of maintenance. Couldn’t close the bathroom door, shower seal also damaged, hot water would come on them go off and on. Just minor stuff. Staff were wonderful. Did a few tours through the hotel which were also great! Hotel is very central so it was very cheap to catch Ubers everywhere.
