Eurostars Plaza Mayor Hotel

Cannot beat this location. We walked to the museums, Puerta del Sol, etc. hotel is clean and staff is nice. We are particularly thankful to Paula in the front desk who made our lives easier. One update, UNRELATED to the hotel. That specific block is sketchy, while waiting for an Uber a woman opened my backpack as I was walking towards the Uber and dropped my passport, which I had in a zippered pocket (no use for her I guess). A kind gentleman chased after me to return it. Once you walk a couple of blocks it feels much safer.

The hotel was clean and well maintained and staff were polite behaviour the food was so delicious in so many options

+ The room was comfortable, and I appreciated that the staff allowed a late check-out upon request. The staff were also helpful in recommending local attractions, restaurants, and nearby cafés, which was a nice touch. - There was no electricity about 20 minutes before check-in, which meant no lighting or air conditioning in the building at that time. Fortunately, the electricity was restored before we officially checked in. Additionally, there was major construction on the street, making it extremely difficult to access the hotel. Taxis, Uber, and Bolt couldn’t reach the entrance easily, and carrying luggage through the blocked street was very inconvenient. Also, the breakfast variety was noticeably limited compared to other Eurostars locations I have stayed at before.
