We stayed for 7 days at the Antik GARDEN Hotel in Avsallar, Alanya. That's the villas in the very beautiful palm trees garden. I like nature so the location fits me perfectly :) To cut a long story short, I like it very much and we are DEFINITELY coming back :) Details: the food is GREAT and VERY VARIED. They have 5 pools 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Their private beach and the sea are WONDERFUL. Clear water, no underwater current, so it's not dangerous to the average swimmer. My girlfriend said the massage, scrub and Turkish bath are great. The palm trees garden where the villas are is very beautiful. There's a complimentary tennis court and a quite private pool at the back of the villas, no one's there, great for privacy. I also like the furniture in our room, looks Mediterranean from antiquity, great to me as a history fan :) IT'S VERY CLEAN, everywhere. And the staff are GREAT, thank you so much, ladies and gents ! That's all, I'm very happy we chose this hotel for our holiday :)

On the pictures everything looks nice, but in real life, it is just a standard hotel next to a very busy highway. In our apartment there was a 1 cm gap on our window, so we had lot of noise even in night. Food was ok - not bad, but also not great. Beach is good, with free towels. Staff will ignore you completely, unless you pay them some cash. Also their approach to you is based on your nationality.

Be ready that Hotel Antik is a VERY old hotel and everything in it is as well, except for the bathroom. Be aware that Covid-19 pandemia adds more difficulties. We selected the hotel because of its closeness to the sea coast and a nice sand beach - one of the best beaches in Antalya. Free wi-fi zone was only in the lobby and it was poor. To our big surprise there was no cooling system in the looby, so it was very and very uncomfortable to stay there. The territory of the main building is cleaned rarely. After my baby ran barefoot in the lobby for a couple of minutes, his feet were black. It looked like the lobby hasn't been cleaned for a week for sure, maybe more. Dust and dirt was everywhere, even in the rooms. The hotel had three types of rooms: in the main 8-floor building, in the garden and beach bungalows. We stayed in a garden view family room in the main building. However before paying for the travel voucher the hotel confirmed a garden room for us. During the check-in we were informed that the garden rooms were closed for tourists due to quarantine. The receptionist also told us that a safe box was paid for the selected room. But before the flight, our touristic agent said the opposite. A few days after, another receptionist said that a safe box was free. Our room was quiet, but … For our one-year old baby we received a broken playpen instead of baby bed. The room was not equipped with a teapot, and the hotel did not provide us with it after asking them. So, for a baby formula preparation we ran downstairs and asked for hot water all day long and at night as well. The room had the only light source - one bed light. The air conditioner was very old, even its plastic had a yellow-grey colour. It’s cooling ability was very doubtful. We asked to repair that. A mini bar was out of service but fixed it in a day. Hot water tanks of the main building are possibly too small. During two days after 9 PM there was a hot water deficit in bathroom taps. After we told the receptionist about it the problem was solved. Beach towels were free. But sometimes we received really threadbare towels. Room towels had a better condition, but not much. The staff changed them everyday. The linens had holes and permanent stains. All the staff of the hotel always wore face masks. Quarantine measures have affected a smorgasbord that was closed with a glass. All the guests were served by the kitchen staff one by one and it made a big line. So having a meal took a lot of time unfortunately. All the kitchen staff was highly attentive to visitors demonstrating a very good level of service nevertheless there was no cooling system in all dining territory. Terrible heat made them all wet and hard to breath in masks. It was inhumane working conditions. Visitors also couldn't enjoy delicious dishes, tried to have their meals very fast and ran away from that place. It's a pity but there was almost no healthy food for children. The variety of dishes was poor in the morning. So we were very disappointed because of all the reasons mentioned above and I decided to cheer myself up going to the hotel’s spa salon. Unfortunately the masseur was unprofessional. During the peeling he used too much force and gentle areas of my body especially decollete were injured. After the procedure it hurt to take a shower and swim in the sea and swimming pool till the end of our trip. The massage was nice but I felt like I was his first or second client after finishing some short masseur course. I love to travel and at the end of my trips I am almost crying realising that I have to leave. It was the first time when I was happy to go home.
