Lrs Lake&River Side Hotel & Spa

The food is plenty, but always the same. The toilets need a better cleanliness. Do NOT ever buy anything from the shops inside the hotel. Complete rip-off! Prices are 5 times (yes-five!!!) higher than the shop right outside the hotel. The Spa is also the same story. I understand it‘s a hotel, a tourist…. But these scams make me never come back again to Turkey.

I stayed at the Lake and River side Hotel for two nights in June 2016. I was warmly welcomed by the reception, and even though I arrived at the hotel in the morning, they gave me my room and invited me to breakfast. That year, the hotel facilities were open 24 hours a day, and the staff was very nice. I had booked the hotel for $50 per night on Booking.com, which was a good price for booking this hotel at that time. It is less than 10 minutes away from the sea, but the hotel had a shuttle for guests to go to the beach. The food and sweets were varied, but they were not tasty. Both the outdoor and indoor pools were active. The shop inside the hotel sold goods at reasonable prices. The hotel environment is very spacious and located between the river and the lake, and you can enjoy it. In my opinion, the biggest weakness of the hotel was its animation team, which did not have a special program for entertainment and was almost closed. Overall, it is an acceptable hotel for a lower price, and it is not worth booking and staying at a high price, and you can choose better 5-star hotels. Of course, the choice is yours.

The hotel has a nice interior and looks lovely. However some staff at the hotel are rude and do not provide a welcoming environment. When we arrived at the hotel no one helped us with our bags or showed us to our rooms and around the hotel. The food was good however it would be better with more varieties each day, as every day was similar. The staff at the hotel shops were rude and told us why we had come to his shop after not finding souvenirs anywhere else, we were appalled with the way he spoke to us as we were paying to stay and can look around wherever we want. The hotel spa staff were also rude as after we declined getting the hotel massage they started to be unfriendly they allowed giving bath towels for the pool and beaches to other families past the opening hours however when we went to get towels they refused and told us the time when it opens. There was discrimination and we were not happy with this. There were not many activities in the day and the night show started at 9:45pm sometimes 10pm which was very late for children and people would be leaving half way through. The cleaning staff in the restaurant were the most friendly and engaged in conversations which created a good environment. Overall it was a good stay due to the look of the hotel however the customer service of the staff needs to be improved to create a more friendly environment.
