Holiday Inn London Kensington High St. by IHG

The hotel was clean, modern, and quiet, with a comfortable bed and a good-sized room (which is rare in central London!). The staff were welcoming and helpful, always ready to give directions or recommendations. Breakfast was fresh and had a good variety — perfect before a day of exploring. After long days of sightseeing, it was nice to come back to a calm and cozy space to relax.

This hotel is in a fabulous location: just a block away from Kensington High St Tube Station, Marks & Spencer's Food Hall (in the basement of the department store), Boots Drug Store and many restaurants. The hotel staff are very friendly. The rooms are on the small side and are very dated, but how much time do you plan to spend in your room?

Small rooms with no room to move around. Staff who pass the blame off to someone else. No managers are ever available to speak with. Front desk takes forever to check in. They are so unsure how to utilize their computer systems. Air conditioning does not work. Maintenance says they are not allowed to touch the system in the guest room. Hallway and lobby are colder than the guest rooms. So the staff get to work in comfort but the guest are left with no amenities. The bar is over priced for watered down drinks. However the staff will always look for a monetary tip. I do not recommend this hotel for your stay in London. A camping tent in Hyde Park would bring more comfort and amenities.
