The location can’t be beat! Steps away from the tube which gives you easy access to all of the city and the airport. The hotel leaves a little to be desired though. It happened to be hot when we were here and our room air con didn’t work. The receptionist just offered us a fan, which didn’t help. The rooms are dated and the beds are not comfortable. You can feel the springs in the mattress when you sleep. We were also told that construction was done, yet we heard hammering and noises throughout our stay. Which was super annoying. For the price, this just didn’t measure up to what we expected from Marriott.
I’m being generous here. Should be 2 stars but I’m not going to hold the numerous men working directly outside my window against them. The bathroom is tiny. Like tiny tiny. The bed is 2 twins pushed together with separate mattress toppers as well. This is not up to true Marriott standards but good location and easy check in and check out experience. Just wish it was closer to the typical quality Marriott standards.
The staff here is amazing and the location is wonderful. The hotel should be closed till 2026 due to their intense and dangerous construction. I got no rest because construction drilling and hammering begins at 8am, including Saturdays! Furthermore, the workers wear gas masks while guests are forced to use the same dust and paint filled hallways and stairs because the lift doesn't work at the lobby level. The rooms are well updated, but the walls and doors are too thin that we can hear everything. The hotel currently has no facilities, so guests are sent to the Marriott down the street for breakfast and gym. Avoid until construction is over!
