Family-Friendly Paradise at Blu Zen Resort – Caye Caulker We spent June 17–20 at Blu Zen Resort in Caye Caulker and absolutely loved every moment. Our sea view room was spacious, modern, and well-equipped, with breathtaking views of the ocean each morning. The property offered multiple beautiful pools, a convenient on-site store, and some of the best tropical cocktails we’ve ever had. We loved lounging in the swings and hammocks throughout the resort—perfect for unwinding island-style. Our family also enjoyed the included ferry rides to South Caye Caulker each day, where we booked a snorkel tour to Hol Chan Marine Reserve, fed tarpons and stingrays, and explored the island via golf cart. The local food, especially the fresh seafood and coconut drinks, was incredible. Blu Zen delivered the perfect mix of comfort, fun, and island adventure. We left feeling refreshed and full of amazing memories. Highly recommend for families looking for a peaceful, activity-filled escape!
Everything about Blu Zen is pure bliss. The rooms, the beautiful view, the amazing customer service but most of all the people. I just had the most AMAZING massage by Felicita. My body is jello. I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time. I may get another from her before I leave. Heaven!
A work in progress. First, the staff was good and the apartment was beautiful. The water taxi to and from the main ferry terminal was so helpful. The front office was very responsive in assisting with travel arrangements, as well. The resort is very pretty from the water, but you should know it is still under construction and it shows. Even the phases that are complete are not totally dialed in. The beach/ water was basically unusable because so much kelp washed up every day. Also, we arrived early in the evening and figured we would just eat dinner at one of the two restaurants there. However, they were both closed. It was 6pm. We did order from one the next night and found the food a little lacking. The little market does have some basics in a pinch. For the price, I can't quite give it 4 stars as is, but I think it will get there. Strong 3.5.
