Absolutely loved our stay at Big Bear Lakefront Lodge! The staff (Terry and Marisol) were extremely courteous and accommodating. They offered my family a warm reception when we arrived. The view is amazing!! A beautiful, inspiring panoramic view of the lake and tress. Even better this cozy lodge is located right smack dab in the heart of Big Bear Lake, literally down the block from the village! The beds are comfortable, room was tidy. Perfect for the family! Big Bear Lakefront Lodge is a gem!!
This older hotel in Big Bear may not be fancy, but that’s exactly what gives it its charm. If you're a simple traveler who appreciates peace, comfort, and a great location, this place is a hidden gem. The hotel is just minutes from everything Big Bear has to offer, yet it’s tucked away enough to feel like a quiet retreat. We stayed in a lakeside room, and it was such a treat to sit back with a drink, listen to the birds, and take in the serene lake view—pure relaxation. The room was cozy and clean, with a comfy bed, a small dining table for two, and a cabinet for storage. While the listing showed a coffee pot (which wasn’t in our room), it wasn’t a big deal. Breakfast was included, though we had to head out early and missed it—but I did spot cereal and fruit, and I’m guessing coffee was available in the main office. This spot is ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful getaway. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. If you're curious about Big Bear and want a quiet, charming place to stay without all the bells and whistles, this is definitely worth checking out!
Posting this everywhere as the people need to know to avoid this place at all costs. This hotel did not have water or a working fireplace at check in. Did not alert us at any point beforehand and had no room to change us too. Initially offered 15% off despite us staying for two days. (No shower?) eventually agreed to take $100 off. Additionally, private beach had no seats and was nothing more than a dirty harbor with a dead bird. Additionally, there were no towels in the room and bedroom floor was so dirty I had to wear socks. The key we were given was not the right one and then the second one barely worked taking several minutes to jiggle the door just right to get in. We ended up leaving after one night and ate the loss in money. I had prepaid with Expedia and now hotel will not honor the price adjustment. Can’t get them to answer or call back. Proof below. Do not stay here.
